Sending License Plates

Juju suggested that Adam think of hobbies he can practice even while laid up from time to time.
Adam has a small collection of state license plates already. We thought it would be a great idea to have folks send in their old plates. We could plaster Adam's room with them. It would a wonderful visual representation of all the love and support Adam is getting.

Adam went to school today and will go back tomorrow. Wednesday his home bound tutor comes for her first visit and Thursday chemo starts.

Adam grumbled about school but this afternoon he seemed very happy that he went.

One of his carpool mates, Hadley, sent him a hilarious card, filled with knock knock jokes and art work.

Have a great week.

Hey Adam, That sounds like a cool idea. Believe it or not I have all 50 state license plates in my basement. I am going to make a piece of art from them one day in the shape of the U.S. Check it out at : http://www.uncommongoods.com/item/item.jsp?itemId=12856&utm_medium=shopping+sites&utm_source=gifts
wow what a link... anyway maybe you are the inspiration to start a project. I will try and find a couple of cool plates to send you !

Hey Adam,
I have two or three plates if you'd like them. One regular TN plate, one TN Sportsman plate, and an Alabama firefighter plate. Let me know where to send them or how to get them to you. Hang in there buddy - we're praying for you and your family everyday!

Adam,
I'm so glad that you were able to come to school the past two days. I'll be checking your blog every day and reporting back to your classmates. I'll spread the word about the license plate collection. That's a great idea.

Hi this is Carolyn. Alisa's daughter. Wow. I can't believe how much you have been through at this age. I am about your same age, and I don't think I could do it. I had a boy in my school who had cancer. He is in remission now but it has changed my whole school. Most of the guys in my school shaved their heads for him after he lost his hair when he went through chemo. I hope chemo goes well. I'll look into finding some good license plates for you!

I am writing a news article for my school and I was wondering if i could write my article about you? i was going to write about the license plates and if anybody had some that they would be willing to give to you. I am only going to give them your name and that you are 11. I think I will get alot is because my school has had a cancer patient and they pitched in and helped pay for the surgery. I hope this is ok with you and if it is could you answer these questions?
Why are you going to miss school when you go through chemo?
How does this make you feel?\
Are your friends going to be able to see you?
I hope you answer these questions.
One more thing.
Can I put the URL for this blog in the article so they can get more information?
By the way my email is popstar815@gmail.com so you can send me the answers.
Carolyn

Carolyn,
Adam will not mind if you tell your class mates about his situation. That is very kind of you.
